Research has shown that having the ability to form positive relationships throughout a lifetime comes from having loving and secure relationships with parents and caregivers from birth. This is the reason why West Cobb Prep Academy partners with parents to ensure you have the peace of mind that your loved one is in a secure and nurturing environment.
West Cobb’s infant program has separate rooms for mobile and non-mobile children and separate areas for sleep and play. Our caregivers are able to maintain your child’s individual schedule for naps and feedings. However, if your child is not currently on a schedule, each parent is encouraged to communicate with the teacher to create a schedule that works for both you and your child.
The toddler program at West Cobb provides opportunities to increase self-help skills, attention span, and vocabulary. We purchase equipment in triplicate as we understand a toddler doesn’t understand yet the concept of ‘sharing’.
Our well-rounded curriculum provides a stimulating and educational environment for young inquisitive minds. Children are encouraged to interact, explore and investigate through a variety of activities. It is through these activities the children are exposed to the following key learning experiences:
- Communication, Language and Literacy Skills
- Problem Solving and Reasoning Skills
- Social and Emotional Development
- Physical Growth- both large and small motor
- Creativity
Lesson plans and daily schedules allow for children to explore music, movement, art, gross and fine motor skills, literacy, sign language, dramatic play, and the outdoors. All areas of learning and development are equally important and are interconnected.
