Club Adventure
Club Adventure is our after school, summer and/or holiday program for children ages 5-9. The program offers the right balance between academics, socialization, and pure fun. The academic program encourages children to retain the knowledge gained throughout the school year. Weekly field trips, bi-weekly in-house field trips, weekly cooking activities, daily drama, arts and crafts, and science experiments, and other enriching daily activities are included to foster a dynamic summer experience for school-aged children. Our teachers encourage and support children's relationships with friends and give them room to practice resolving conflicts on their own, while providing assistance when necessary.
Past field trips have included: Chamberlain's Chocolatier, Foam Factory, Cagle's Farm, Center for Puppetry Arts, and Yellow River Gaming Ranch. Past in-house field trips have included: clowns, storytellers, puppeteers and moonwalks.
Our goal after-school is to provide a program that meets each student's academic and recreational needs. When parents pick their children up from our after school program, they can simply go home and enjoy quality time together as a family. The program provides opportunities to complete homework, enjoy a healthy snack, engage in strategy games, create and perform a puppet show or skit, read a book from our library, play outside, participate in music and movement, and play independently to build friendships. West Cobb picks up from the local elementary schools.
The outdoor facility includes a life-size chess board, miniature golf course, soccer field and a water park which is used twice each week in the summer. The program has exclusive use of our playgrounds. After School and Club Adventure at West Cobb is exciting, challenging, enlightening and just plain fun!
