Pre-School (Jr./Sr.)
Here at West Cobb Prep, pre-school is an exciting place where young children can further expound upon the building blocks of education and life as a whole.
It is our primary goal to allow children to thrive within classrooms that meet their physical and developmental needs while providing a safe, respectful and nurturing environment. One of our principal tools is the use of centers. The concept of centers is explored through dramatic play, blocks, gross and fine motor skills, literacy, music, art, sensory, science, and more. These learning areas are integrated into our daily program through a variety of child-initiated and teacher-lead experiences. All experiences, whether in or outdoors, show our understanding that all children learn and develop in different ways and at different rates.
Our Jr. Pre-School program focuses on learning to share space through cooperative play, partnering with parents for potty training, and learning other languages besides English through our Foreign Language program.
Our Sr. Pre-School program challenges our students with a daily literacy/phonics program and computer lessons. The teachers use open-ended questions, as the children are encouraged to investigate, develop problem-solving skills, and make decisions. All in all we want to take your child to the next level, through providing confidence and preparation for Pre-K and primary level education.
